My First Months in Affiliate Marketing

My First Months in Affiliate Marketing
My name is Robbi Rice and a few months ago I decided to try affiliate marketing. I will tell you a little bit about me and what lead me to give this a try. I had a degree in teaching but somehow ended up in retail for 16 years. Three years ago I lost my retail job. I decided to go back into teaching. I started to substitute teach while I was going back to school to renew my license. Meanwhile in order to keep up with expenses I have had to take out almost all the retirement I had saved for in my retail years. I was looking for something to help replace what I had lost.

One of the first things that I realized is that I needed to learn a lot more about the computer. I didn't even know how to cut and paste. I enlisted the help of a friend and learned some basics. I still have a lot to learn but it was a start. While I was trying to figure out how to do things I found Traffic Exchanges. My problem there is what all the experienced people tell you not to do and that is getting distracted. I have been trying to become more focused but It is very hard to do. The one thing I did find out that is a must in TE's is that you do need a splash page .

Did I find the right business? I think so. I haven't had much success yet but as they tell you If you think you will make a million dollars overnight with no work you are in the wrong business. So I keep working hard and the trick is to KEEP LEARNING.

The program I chose is Marketing Pond. Marketing Pond has many programs that you can join for free and can promote all from one link. Each program has ways you can make FREE money.
If you would like to check it out go to http://www.marketingpond.com/ref.cgi/54615/

Hi Robbi,

I also clicked your link in the Warrior Forum! It is always interesting to read about how people got into Internet Marketing. I am also a teacher (English as a Foreign Language). I have noticed that there is definitely a call for teaching skills in Internet marketing.

Best wishes,
